Areta + Zoom
Areta is an AI work assistant that helps you find information and complete tasks across connected work apps. Connect Zoom to find meeting context, turn available transcripts into action items, and create a meeting when you need one.
You’ll need an Areta account and a Zoom account. Install Areta through TestFlight. No Areta invitation code, hardware purchase, or payment is required for this flow. Zoom features depend on your Zoom plan and permissions.
The Zoom integration is being prepared for Marketplace review. Authorization is limited to eligible test accounts until Zoom approves external availability.
Get connected
Start in the Areta iOS app. If your organization requires approval for apps, ask your Zoom administrator to approve the connection.
Install TestFlight on your iPhone, open the Areta invitation link, and install Areta. Open the app and create an account or sign in.
Open the Home menu, choose Powers → Plugins, and find Zoom. Expand Popular if needed, then tap the + button to start connecting.
On Zoom’s authorization page, sign in to the account you want to connect. Review the requested permissions and choose Allow if you agree. Follow any administrator approval requirements.
Return to Areta and check that Zoom shows as connected. Open a conversation and try a request below, using your own meeting title, date, and timezone.
From context to action
Enter requests in Areta. Zoom access depends on the permissions you authorize and the resources available to your Zoom account.
Find a meeting and the available recordings, transcripts, notes, or documents you can access.
“Find my Zoom meeting about the product launch last week and show me the available meeting assets.”
Use an available transcript to bring together decisions, owners, and follow-up actions.
“Summarize the launch meeting transcript. List the decisions, action items, owners, and deadlines.”
Specify a future date, time, timezone, and duration to create a meeting and receive its join link. Review any confirmation shown in Areta.
“Create a 30-minute Zoom meeting on [date] at 10 a.m. [timezone], titled ‘Launch follow-up’, and give me the join link.”
Creating a meeting and receiving its link does not itself send invitations. Sending the link through another connected service requires that service’s connection and permissions.
Your connection
Read permissions let Areta search accessible meetings and retrieve available meeting assets, recordings, notes, and document content. Meeting creation permission lets Areta create a meeting at your request. Availability depends on your Zoom account, plan, organization settings, and the content that already exists.
Connecting Zoom does not create missing recordings, transcripts, or AI-generated summaries, and does not grant access to another person’s private meetings.
Open Plugins, open the connected Zoom account menu, and choose Disconnect.
Disconnecting removes the connector authorization state. It does not remove original meetings or recordings from Zoom, or automatically delete separately saved Areta conversations, exports, or backups. Read our Privacy Policy for data handling information, or contact support for deletion assistance.
Enter requests in an Areta conversation after connecting Zoom. You do not need a Zoom chat command for this integration.
Expand Popular and check that you are using the intended Areta build. If Zoom is still unavailable, contact support with your app version.
The integration may not yet be available to your Zoom account while it is under review. Contact support to confirm eligible test access. Reinstalling Areta does not remove Zoom’s account restrictions.
Your organization may restrict app installation or permissions. Follow Zoom’s approval instructions or contact your administrator. Areta does not bypass organization policies.
Check that the intended Zoom account is connected and can access the meeting and its assets in Zoom. The recording or transcript must already exist. Include an exact title or date in your request. Some features require additional Zoom licenses or enabled AI features.
Visit Areta Support or email support@areta.ai. We respond within two business days. Include your app version, steps, and error message. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private meeting content.
